12 Days of An Grianán! Day 6: James Joyce’s Portrait of the Artist

We’re closed for our Christmas holidays but we’ve lined up a few extra special online offers to tempt you over the festive period.

Starting on Christmas Day our ’12 Days of An Grianán’ will offer you a huge discount on a selection of shows including drama, music, comedy and summer schools! It’s a different offer every day so keep an eye on your inbox or follow us on twitter to make sure you don’t miss out on some substantial savings!

For day 6 of our 12 Days of An Grianán we are offering 20% off tickets for the James Joyce classic, A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man.

This acclaimed stage adaptation of James Joyce’s iconic novel tells the story of Stephen Dedalus, a young man who tries to break away from the Irish Catholic conventions of his past to become an artist who will “encounter for the millionth time the reality of experience and forge in the smithy of my soul the uncreated conscience of my race.”

Directed by Jimmy Fay. Produced by Anthony Fox. Adapted by Tony Chesterman.

‘imaginative and graceful…Jimmy Fay’s direction of this in-house production at the New Theatre in Dublin plays a great part in the success with its quirky and highly visual approach.’ Emer O’ Kelly, Sunday Independent
