Can You help raise €1000 for An Grianán Youth Theatre?

An Grianan Youth Theatre present The Wolves of Willoughby Chase.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Over the next month we’re trying to raise €1000 towards An Grianán Youth Theatre, and we’ve now raised €400 of that target ! You can read a lovely testimonial about what the youth theatre means to one of the people who was a member, writer Karen Quinn, here. It really has, and continues to, mean so much to so many young people.

You can make your donation by clicking here and picking the amount you’d like to donate

We are delighted to be able to say that Emory Ramsay has been chosen as a member of the prestigious National Youth Theatre Ensemble. 16 young people have been chosen from all the people who auditioned throughout the country to work with Artistic Director Veronica Coburn and playwright Dylan Coburn Gray to perform Ask Too Much Of Me from 19th to the 24th August on the Peacock Stage at the Abbey Theatre, Dublin. As part of our commitment to this project we need to raise €350. You can read more about this project here.

As part of Cruinniú na nÓg, Ireland’s national day of youthful creativity, An Grianán Youth Theatre will perform a special performance inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland in the gardens of Glenveagh Castle on Saturday 15th June between 1pm and 4pm. Created specifically for Glenveagh, this promenade style show has been devised by youth theatre members with director Nora Kavanagh, and will feature many of Lewis Carroll’s memorable characters while incorporating elements from Glenveagh’s history to create a Donegal Wonderland. Follow the white rabbit, catch a tea party and watch out for border control! See more about it here.

In the first week of July we are sending 8 young people to Kilkenny, with two supervisors, to the 2019 National Festival of Youth Theatres in Kilkenny. The National Festival is a unique experience. It provides young people with a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills, work with specialist facilitators and get to know young people from youth theatres all around the country.
