We’d like to update you on what’s been going on. On Monday, 6 July, the core staff team was re-engaged and we’ve immediately hit the ground running and are working hard to ensure that when we are able to open the building we will do so in as safe a manner as possible. We hope to first open the foyer and the café in the next few weeks, just as soon as the necessary health and safety measures can be put in place.

While we can’t welcome you back to the auditorium just yet we are delighted to say we are still be bringing you theatre. In conjunction with the Earagail Arts Festival we have commissioned Little John Nee to take a tour of seven Donegal villages and towns, Malin, Culdaff, Raphoe, Letterkenny, Dunfanaghy, Gort an Choirce and Rathmullan, for a series of pop-up solo performances. In Rathmullan, on July 26th, for the finale of the six day adventure Little John will perform for the first time “Blues Boy on Batt’s Walk” a musical spoken word climax to an evening of song and story that conjures a teenage Don Quixote camping at Kinnegar 1976 that opens with the line …“I was sixteen now I’m sixty”.

To learn more about Little John’s walks, or to book for the Rathmullan performance please go to the festival’s website at eaf.ie.

We are also working away to reschedule events in our programme as well as ensuring that the theatre is ready to reopen as a safe environment for all our customers, staff, artists and performing groups. Please keep an eye on this website and our social media for updates and we really do hope to see you soon.
