Free Events This June

Free events this June at An Grianán Theatre

We have a number of free events happening this June including shows suitable for children and families, trad music fans and art lovers.

For Music Fans

As part of Letterkenny Trad Week we are having two free lunchtime gigs in our cafe bar. On Wed 1 June we have Nia Ní Bheirn, Megan McGinley & Áine Ferry and on Friday 3 June we have Martin Crossin, Theresa Kavanagh & Ian Smith. The gigs start at 1.30pm and will be around 70-90 minutes. No advance booking is required.

For Children and Families

On Thursday 9 June Backstage Theatre from Longford present a lovely show called Luminaria which has been receiving great reviews from audiences on its Irish tour so far. Recommended for ages 6-12 you can book directly with the box office. Find out more about it here.

Still Here by Anna Newell Theatre Adventures and the Network for Extraordinary Audiences

Then on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 June we have a show suitable for ages 3-6 and their families. Presented as part of this year’s Crunniú na nÓg festivities Still Here is a quirky playful exploration of the journey from restriction, suspicion and fear to collaboration and celebration, gently exploring some of the feelings of the last couple of years and our changing times. It’s non-verbal so will be easy for all, even those with limited English, to enjoy. You can find out more about it here.

While free, advance booking is recommended for both these events.

For Art Lovers
