Renovation Works – Building Closure

We are now closed temporarily as long-awaited building works have begun on a major renovation and development project that will enhance the theatre’s facilities for artists, audiences, and the wider community.

The works which have been funded through The Department of Culture, Communications & Sport, with match funding from Donegal County Council was first approved several years ago and are now moving forward.

The project will see the development of a new rehearsal/creative learning studio.  We will re-purpose space within the building to create a flexible new rehearsal and creative learning studio. This will provide much-needed additional capacity to support and develop a wide-ranging programme of participative arts activities. The studio will also be used occasionally as an intimate public performance space for small-scale readings and recitals.

The project will also see the redesign of the box office to improve accessibility access and customer service. Ensuring frontline customer facilities within the theatre are fully accessible to wheelchair users by redesigning the Box office/Reception area.

During this time The Wellness Cafe which usually meets on a Thursday will meet in the Vestry in Letterkenny Town Park.
