An Grianán Theatre is delighted to announce that this July we will be hosting two weeks of Summer Camps for the young people of the North-West. These week-long workshops will cater to young people from the ages of 8 – 18 and focus on introducing them to the core principles of performing onstage and art making. They will take place here at An Grianán Theatre.
For ages 8 to 12
Week One will focus on an introduction to performance and mask making and will run from the 6th – 10th July. This week long camp will be for young people from the ages of 8 – 12 and run from 10am – 1pm each day.
Week One will be led by facilitator and performer Valerie Bryce.
For ages 13 to 18
Week Two will focus on an introduction to performance and run from the 13th – 17th July. This week long camp will be for young people aged 13 – 18 and will run from 12pm – 3pm each day.
Week Two will be led by actress and teacher Andrea Emmett.
The workshops are entirely free to take part in and promise to be high energy and entertaining occasions for young people to learn about all things acting, theatre and community.
We are particularly interested in working with young people who have not attended classes in An Grianán Theatre previously and young people who would like to try an introduction to performance in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Please note that as places are limited and in case of oversubscription, we are asking everyone who signs up to answer one tiny question: what is your performance experience? You will be able to answer that question at registration.
