Maureen was appointed to the An Grianán Board of Management in the summer of 2024.
Maureen Kerr was appointed County Librarian/Culture Division Manager in November 2024 and has worked with Donegal County Council Library Service for over 30 years. Maureen’s remit as Culture Division Manager includes: Libraries, Museum, Archives, Heritage, Biodiversity and Arts services, as well as the RCC. Maureen is also Creative Ireland Co-
ordinator for Donegal for the Creative Communities aspect of the national Creative Ireland Programme.
Maureen was awarded a BSc in Information & Library Studies through the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. She is a member of the Library Association of Ireland and a member of the Services Delivery Committee focused on delivering on the actions of the national library strategy The Library is the Place.
Maureen recently joined An Grianán Theatre Board of Directors and is one of two nominees of the Chief Executive of Donegal County Council.
Maureen enjoys reading and music and is passionate about promoting the Culture Division and its services to communities across Donegal and further afield.
