Inisowiacy Polish Folk Group Performance – 7pm to 8pm, An Grianán Theatre Plaza

Join the Inisowiacy Polish Folk Group for some dancing, music and costumes from many regions of Poland. The group are a community-based cultural association founded in Ennis, County Clare, that celebrates Irish-Polish friendship through traditional dance, colourful regional costumes and music.

Blending monologue and movement this one-person-show explores the farcical and demanding rituals of domestic life in rural Ireland. Drawing on personal experiences of growing up in a tight-knit family in Donegal, the piece examines the unsung burden carried by generations of matriarchal women who keep households running. The choreography addresses the anger and shame that pulls at our bodies. A raw story that resonates universally.
