BAFTA and Perrier award-winning comedian Dylan Moran is bringing his brand new stand-up show ‘DOLLA HO’ to his homeland this autumn with choice servings of his thoughts on everything and anything – delivered in his trademark acerbic, eternally world-weary style.
Throughout the summer of 2024, Dylan traversed the highways and byways of Ireland for a ‘Work In Progress Wander’ which saw him craft hours of new material throughout 50 shows in 35 towns, including one right here at An Grianán, where fans got a front row seat for the creative process in its unpredictable form.
The fruits of these flights of fancy have now been distilled into a brand new hour of stand-up from one of Ireland’s comedy heroes.
Dylan has been called the Oscar Wilde of comedy and his famed style – deadpan, witty and crackpot lyricism – promises to take his audience on an unmissable journey through his interpretations of the world, swerving cliche to offer a cutting blow to our idiosyncrasies.
A comedian, actor and writer who, in 1996 at the Edinburgh Fringe, became the youngest ever winner of the Perrier Award. He went on to co-write and star in Black Books which won two BAFTAs.
Other notable screen roles include Notting Hill, Calvary, Shaun of the Dead and Run Fatboy Run. Dylan has toured the world many times, including versions of his show as far afield as Kazakhstan, Ukraine and across the US.
