The Story
Trapped in a Kafkaesque realm of incomprehensible rules, with boundaries and schedules that change without rhyme or reason, four people explore how to survive an endless limbo. A young girl is watching. How much of what she witnesses are her own nightmares and how much reality?
Together they find pathways that lead them deeper into the restricting maze until their connection to each other brings strength to bend rules and break walls.

About the Company
Undercurrent Performance is based in County Leitrim. Projects uniquely integrate diverse performers celebrating diQerent experiences of mobility and cultural backgrounds in the creation of visually dynamic performance. Undercurrent projects include Winter Ground (performed double bill with IMDT), Magnetise (shortlisted for LAMA awards), Unearth 2021 & tour 2022, Cusp 2023 and From Here A Bridge 2024, Earthfall 2025 & Between Earth & Sky 2026. Undercurrent’s outreach programmes include Moving Together a bi-annual day of inclusive dance with individualised access supports taking place at the Dock, Co. Leitrim, and long term Cultural Dance Share events in Sligo and Leitrim. With a trans-disciplinary approach to company practice, Undercurrent is committed to keeping connection, diversity and inclusivity at the heart. Projects and research are widely supported by the Arts Council of Ireland.
