Improvised Music Company (IMC) and An Grianán are delighted to announce a special performance with our Navigator artist in residence Olesya Zdorovetska.
For this free matinee concert Olesya will be joined by some special guests for a performance that will combine music and spoken word.
Originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, Olesya is now based in Dublin. A powerful and innovative voice in new music, she is fluent in a diverse range of disciplines and works internationally across numerous fields of activity. As a solo artist and collaborator she crosses the fields of improvised, jazz, Afro-Caribbean, contemporary classical and experimental music, and regularly composes for film and theatre.
Olesya is a founder of the UICP (Ukrainian-Irish Cultural Platform) and co-curator (with Christodoulos Makris) of Phonica, an experimental music and poetry platform in Dublin.
This free event will take place in our auditorium at 1.45pm on Saturday 10 December, no pre-booking is necessary.
The event will be proceeded by the opening of an exhibition of Ukrainian art at 1pm.
