IADF attracts participants from all around the world, and for this event we will present some of these international artists as well as few homegrown artists too.
Amongst the works to be performed is Aetherbound by Rosie Macari and Lila Naruse. Aetherbound is a visually striking aerial dance piece exploring themes of restriction, resilience, and reconnection. Using harness and rope, the performers navigate a journey shaped by heritage, nature, and the evolving strength of womanhood. This work resonates with audiences across generations – young women coming of age, older women with lived experience, and men invited to witness a story of transformation and strength.
