Admission is free on the door.

Treat yourself and your little ones to a free family lunchtime concert from the Donegal Junior String Orchestra in our foyer at 1pm.

Enjoy popular classical pieces, performed by young string players from the Donegal Music Education Partnership under their conductor Victor Yélamo. And the DJS are bringing along some guest performers specially for the occasion!

The Donegal Junior Strings Orchestra will play for under an hour. It’s the perfect opportunity for children (and adults) to see string instruments in action at close quarters, including the violin and its bigger relations, the viola, cello and double bass.

Presented as part of this year’s Wainfest, the concert will also open the 9th annual Donegal Chamber Music Festival, which runs from Saturday 12th October – Sunday 20th October.

The Donegal Chamber Music Festival features two weekends of classical music concerts, featuring soloists, locally-based musicians and much-loved classical music pieces. It will showcase the present and future of classical music in Donegal.
