Croke Park, September 2012. As Donegal take to the field for their All Ireland final against Mayo, their first in twenty years, Danielle “Dodo” O’Donnell watches behind the goals in Hill 16. In one moment, her life changes forever. As the ball is kicked high into the square, her life flashes before her eyes as she recalls the highs and lows that came with supporting her county for over twenty years.
The title of the play is used by kind permission of Rory Gallagher, and taken from his song Jimmy’s Winning Matches by Rory and The Island.
