About An Grianán Theatre
Fáilte go dtí Amharclann An Ghrianán! Located in Letterkenny, Co Donegal, An Grianán Theatre is an integral part of the county’s thriving cultural life and a flagship venue in the North West of Ireland.
We give local audiences and visitors the opportunity to enjoy the very best local, national and international arts and entertainment events.
An Grianán Theatre opened in October 1999 and rapidly earned a reputation for artistic excellence and accessibility.
Boasting a 383 capacity auditorium and one of the largest theatre stages in Ireland, we are a state of the art facility committed to presenting the best in drama, comedy, music and much, much more.
We maintain a busy programme of community and outreach events including a youth theatre for children and young people that runs weekly classes during the school year.
The theatre is open to the public all day and one can avail of the excellent café and bar, view art exhibitions or, of course, attend a show.

An Grianán is distinctive amongst regional venues for its success as a theatre producer. We have produced plays by writers such as Brian Friel, John B Keane, Thomas Kilroy and Martin McDonagh.
Letterkenny Tourist
Information Centre
The Letterkenny Tourist Information Centre is now located in our lower foyer at An Grianán Theatre – Port Rd, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, F92 RV1F. The centre previously operated from Neil T Blaney Road.
The service will be available from 2 June to 30 September, operating five days per week, from Tuesday to Saturday, between 9.30am and 5pm and closed on BH.
From 1 October, visitor information will continue to be available through a self service kiosk at An Grianán Theatre, as well as at the Bus Station. These facilities will provide access to information on local attractions, things to do, places to visit and wider travel inspiration across Donegal.

An Grianán Theatre is grateful to receive annual financial sponsorship from Donegal County Council, The Arts Council and the Department of Social Protection. This financial support is reviewed on an annual basis.
We also receive project funding from the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport.
