At An Grianán Theatre we’ve always supported local artists. Behind the scenes, we are often busy offering time and support to local artists, with advice, networking opportunities, finance, technical and marketing support as well as producing and touring work.
In this section on our site we highlight some of the ways in which we are helping local theatre makers.
In 2025 we toured our production of Lisdoon Nirvana, a one man show written by and starring Frankie McCafferty. Our partnership with the Network for Extraordinary Audiences and Anna Newell continued with Up in the Clouds, a dreamy show designed for children & young people with complex needs which we took to Little Angels School in February.
In 2025 and 2026 we had the Acorns Programme bursaries with successful applicants being awarded either €1000 or €2000. All successful applicants could also avail of four creative conversations or development support sessions with our Artist in Residence and Leadership team.
