Join us for the official opening of Audrey Henry’s new exhibition of landscapes inspired by Donegal.
Fri 10 November from 6pm to 8pm. Free admission.
Dear Donegal features a series of oil paintings painted across the seasons of year, from the rebirth of spring and summer growth to the cold and decline of autumn and winter.
Audrey’s process involves taking photos and sketches on location and then creating art in her home studio in Ballyraine, Letterkenny.
She shows the seasons through her subtle use of texture and colour, her thick impasto style lending itself to the rugged scenery and natural beauty of her home county.
A native of Letterkenny, Audrey studied Graphic Design in LYIT, then did a BA Hons degree in the University of Ulster, Belfast in Visual Communication. Audrey then worked as a Graphic Designer for many years, before returning to college to study Fine Art.
The exhibition will continue until 22 December. Opening hours are Mon to Fri 9.30am to 3.30pm.
