A special concert featuring some of Ireland’s most exciting emerging Traditional music acts.
Landless are Ruth Clinton, Meabh Meir, Sinead Lynch and Lily Power. They sing unaccompanied traditional songs from Irish, Scottish, English and American traditions in close four part harmony. Their repertoire features songs of love, death and lamentation, as well as work songs, shape-note hymns and more recently penned folk songs. Landless have performed in a variety of settings, both in Ireland and abroad, and are closely involved with traditional singing sessions in Dublin and Belfast.
Niamh Bury is a steadily rising star on the Irish folk scene. She has collaborated and shared the stage with acts like Ye Vagabonds, Varo, Myles O’Reilly, Niamh Regan, Cinder Well, and Martin Hayes. In recent years, she has performed at Quiet Lights, Dún Laoghaire Folk Festival, Body & Soul, and St. Patrick’s Festival, captivating audiences with stirring vocals, adept lyricism and interpretation of old songs. Her much-anticipated debut album of self-penned material, recorded and produced by Brían Mac Gloinn (Ye Vagabonds), is due for release next year.
