A special concert featuring some of Ireland’s most exciting emerging Traditional music acts.

Landless are Ruth Clinton, Meabh Meir, Sinead Lynch and Lily Power. They sing unaccompanied traditional songs from Irish, Scottish, English and American traditions in close four part harmony. Their repertoire features songs of love, death and lamentation, as well as work songs, shape-note hymns and more recently penned folk songs. Landless have performed in a variety of settings, both in Ireland and abroad, and are closely involved with traditional singing sessions in Dublin and Belfast.

niamh.bury-An-Grainan

Niamh Bury is a steadily rising star on the Irish folk scene. She has collaborated and shared the stage with acts like Ye Vagabonds, Varo, Myles O’Reilly, Niamh Regan, Cinder Well, and Martin Hayes. In recent years, she has performed at Quiet Lights, Dún Laoghaire Folk Festival, Body & Soul, and St. Patrick’s Festival, captivating audiences with stirring vocals, adept lyricism and interpretation of old songs. Her much-anticipated debut album of self-penned material, recorded and produced by Brían Mac Gloinn (Ye Vagabonds), is due for release next year.

julie.avalon-An-Grainan

Julie Avalon is a multi instrumentalist and singer hailing from the West coast of Ireland. She been active in the Irish music scene for over ten years and has been added to the Irish Folk music Archives twice, once as a featured singer and another time for her album of folk songs recorded with her twin sister. She is one half of the now broken up band Twin Headed Wolf that were very well known in the Irish music scene, with many accolades to their name. Julie Avalon recently featured in a film ‘North Circular’ as a singer to showcase the current thriving folk music scene in Dublin. She has lived in Ireland and abroad, her solo project beginning in Melbourne Australia in 2019 where she played multiple festivals and gigs in the vibrant music scene as well as running festival stages, carnivals and gigs.
