Polar Bear & Penguin, a charming play for young audiences written and performed by John Currivan & Paul Curley.

The tale of an unlikely encounter between a Polar Bear and a Penguin.

This is the story of polar opposite characters meeting for the first time, getting to know one another and learning how to survive in a world that is melting beneath their feet…paws…flippers.

A photo of two actors looking at each on a theatre stage. The man on the left has wild black hair and is wearing a scruffy back jacket with arrows drawn on. The man on the right is all in white and is wearing a fur and and gloves, a short sleeved tee-shirt and a padded jacket.

Paul Curley (THE DIG and Bake!) and John Currivan (The Bockety World of Henry & Bucket), bring this quirky and relevant play for young audiences to life. Award-winning director Ian Cameron (White) joins the team along with designers Ger Clancy and Sarah Jane Shiels and composer Denis Clohessy.

Polar Bear & Penguin is a tale of our time, infused with humour, friendship and fish.

Schools matinees: Friday 25 Nov at 10:15am (SOLD OUT) and 12:15pm. Tickets: €8 per pupil, teachers/SNAs free. Contact the box office on 0749120777 to book, opening hours are 9.30am to 3.30pm. Most suitable for ages 5 to 9 years.

Polar Bear & Penguin was originally developed by Paul Curley & Draíocht with the support of The Arts Council YPCE Project Award & Meitheal CPS – A Branar Initiative and is presented with the support of an Arts Council Touring Award.
