We have two delightful shows for national school age children coming up this autumn season at An Grianán Theatre. First up, at the end of this month, we have When the Moon Spun Round which combines live folk music and thrilling aerial dance and is inspired by the poetry of WB Yeats. Then just in time to get you in the mood for Christmas we have a sweet wintry treat about a polar bear and a penguin.
Aerial Magic with Ceol Connected and Fidget Feet
When The Moon Spun Round is a beautiful show that matches the traditional music of Ceol Connected with the dance and aerial skills of Fidget Feet, Ireland’s leading aerial dance company. Inspired by the poetry and stories of WB Yeats, this enchanting show is recommended for all of national school age.

Opposites Attract
Polar Bear and Penguin is our pre-Christmas offering, at the end of November. Paul Curley (THE DIG and Bake!) and John Currivan (The Bockety World of Henry & Bucket), bring this quirky and relevant play for young audiences to life. It tells the tale of an unlikely encounter between a Polar Bear and a Penguin. It’s the story of polar opposite characters meeting for the first time, getting to know one another and learning how to survive in a world that is melting beneath their feet…paws…flippers.
Polar Bear & Penguin is a tale of our time, infused with humour, friendship and fish.
